Ideas into impact.
Philanthropy Lab is a private giving effort in development, built to support practical, local efforts that help people and strengthen the communities around them.
Helping teens experiencing homelessness find their footing.
One of our first priorities will be connecting young people without a stable home to shelter and to the basics that help them move forward: food, clothing, and a path to work. We plan to do this alongside local nonprofits and charities already doing the work, not in place of them.
Careful where it counts. Quick where it matters.
Larger gifts through a donor-advised fund
A fund sponsor will handle the background work, confirming each organization is a legitimate charity in good standing before any gift is made.
Small needs, met directly
Sometimes the right help is simple and personal. Smaller gifts may go straight to someone in need, with a handshake and a smile.
Never the bottleneck
Need is often urgent. We want to decide quickly and never be the reason help arrives late.
Working with others
We plan to partner with nonprofits and charities who know their communities, and support what's already working.
